Sen. John McCain received an endorsement from the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on Thursday.
This is the first time the chamber has endorsed a sitting senator for re-election.
They say McCain has a proven record of fighting for the Latino community and working with small businesses.
"His record and the sacrifices he's made for this country, that alone really for us was enough reason to travel all the way out here from Washington to ensure that our voice was heard, literally standing right beside him," President of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Javier Palomarez said.
McCain also held a town hall meeting on Thursday where he stressed the importance of improving relations with Mexico and immigration reform.
