At the University of Arizona, the most-often heard quote seemed to be "this is really cool."
More than 150 local high school students were experiencing "Math Moves You Day."
"Math Moves You Day" involves some highly visual, hands-on activities all designed to promote science, technology, engineering and math.
Leo Flores, a local high school Senior said, "I would really like would really like to learn about this."
"I've learned that a telescope has two lenses and we're building it like Galileo did," said Mogran Johnson, another high school student.
A major goal of this event to reverse the trend of fewer students becoming engineers, scientists and technologists.
