TUCSON, Ariz. — Patricia Maisch, January 8th survivor, was among the crowd of Tucsonans at a vigil to remember the victims of El Paso and Dayton.

"Well I hope to feel a connection with El Paso and with other people that are here," Maisch said.

She has her own scars from a mass shooting.

"All of a sudden an unexpected noise...if I'm not thinking about it, it jolts me."

The noises were different at the vigil: music, to remember those lost.

The soothing part of it heals, the words sometimes inspire and encourage you to keep going to not stop," Maisch said.

The gathering featured several speakers and among those in attendance, Democrat Raul Grijalva, U.S. Representative from Arizona's 3rd Congressional District.
