Tucson conservative talk radio show host James T. Harris hit the national stage Monday evening following the weekend release of a controversial Facebook Live video he created after hearing about violence and unrest in an area of Milwaukee where he spent many years working and raising a family.

In the video, Harris laments the lack of traditional family values and father-figures in the lives of today's black youth and blames, among other causes, governmental subsidies for the destruction of the moral fabric of black families in America -- and Milwaukee -- today.

The video quickly went viral, garnering over a million views in the first 24 hours and approaching 1.5 million as of Tuesday afternoon.

The video also caught the attention of nationally syndicated talk show host, Sean Hannity of FOX News Live, who featured James Monday evening as part of a 3 person panel discussion on the violence in Milwaukee.

On Tuesday evening the BBC reached out to schedule a guest appearance with Mr. Harris and on Wednesday morning, FOX News contacted James for a follow-up appearance.

KGUN 9 On Your Side Investigative Reporter, Valerie Cavazos asked James what he thought was the main cause of the cultural violence happening in Milwaukee and other parts of the United States, to which he responded, "The breakdown of the family and family values."

Mr. Harris also expressed concerns over whether or not the media is representing all of the people and stated that 'liberal policies' subsidize and encourage fatherless families. "The end result is, you have children who don't have values, children who don't respect the rule of law, children who really, don't give a damn," he said.

When asked why he thinks his video 'went viral' Mr. Harris said, "Because what I am saying is resonating and people want to hear it." He continued, saying "People in the mainstream media are not speaking this way, talking about the policies that have led us to what we're seeing. And what really drove [my video] to such huge numbers is, you don't see Americans of African descent speaking this way."

The complete, unedited, raw video of our interview with James T. Harris can be watched in its entirety above. James T. Harris can be heard weekday afternoons, 2:00 - 6:00 on 104.1 KQTH, which is owned by E.W. Scripps, the parent company of KGUN-TV.
