TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - What could happen when teachers give students assignments to think outside the box?

One northwest side student is creating three little libraries for her community.  Sixth grader Milena Fera spends her free time building and painting one-drawer libraries that are about two feet by two feet.

Fera plans on stocking the libraries with books for both children and adults.  She intends to install them in neighborhood parks later this month.

"I thought it was important that everyone got a chance to learn from books," said Fera.

The Green Fields School student received donated materials, paint and a variety of books and magazines to complete the project.
