Agents from the Tucson Sector Border Patrol arrested four men on Monday afternoon for illegally entering the country. One of these men had to be airlifted to a hospital.

According to CBP, the men were found west of San Miguel.

After they were apprehended, one of the four men, a 35-year-old Mexican national, started having medical issues.

Assistance from emergency medical services was requested by agents, and they were met by an air ambulance and a helicopter equipped for short-haul extractions.

The medical crew was able to stabilize the man in the helicopter and transport him to the air ambulance. He was then flown to a Tucson hospital.

According to CBP, the three Mexican-nationals where were not injured were processed for immigration violations.

CBP officials say the fourth man will also be processed for immigration violations when he is released from the hospital.
