A man has been convicted on several charges after assaulting a nursing mother.

According to the Pima County Attorneys' Office Facebook page, a jury convicted Christopher Koury of Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault, Theft, and Burglary in the Second Degree on May 10.

In 2016, Koury went to his former girlfriend's manger's home looking for information on her whereabouts.

Koury then broke into the home. His former girlfriend was sitting on the couch nursing her infant child.

He proceeded to punch the victim in the face, grab her arms, and pull her from the couch, according to the Facebook post.

The case was prosecuted by Deputy County Attorney Sterling Struckmeyer.

Sentencing for Koury is scheduled for June 17, in Pima County Superior Court Judge Michael Butler's courtroom.
