TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A Tucson man has been issued 21 citations for poaching 12 javelina, three Mule deer, and four Mourning doves in December 2015, according to the Arizona Game and Fish Department.

Wildlife officers charged Brandon Balascio for poaching the wildlife in both Tucson and Marana.

"Poachers don't hunt, they steal wildlife from citizens of Arizona," said Regional Supervisor Raul Vega.

The maximum penalty for poaching is six months in jail and a $750 fine for each count.

To report suspected wildlife violations, the public is encouraged to contact Operation Game Thief at 1-800-352-0700.
