TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) Instead of asking for presents for her 4th birthday, Charlotte Chen collected donations for Pima Animal Care Center.
Charlotte hosted a birthday party with her friends at My Gym on Saturday in Tucson. Charlotte's parents says she wanted a kitty cat themed party and loves cats.
Charlotte's friends all brought toys and food to give to cats at PACC.
On Thursday Charlotte went to PACC with her parents to drop off a few boxes of donations.
Charlotte's dad Carl says Charlotte is the middle child, and they want to instill a sense of philanthropy in their kids. He hopes his children can focus on giving and not on "stuff."
Charlotte also got the chance to see the cats at the shelter, but unfortunately didn't get to adopt one because her dad is highly allergic.
