Tucson flights canceled, moved amid winter weather concerns

TUCSON, Ariz. — As snow storms and precipitation rolls into all parts of Arizona, winter warnings have been put into effect and have caused a number of flight delays at the Tucson International Airport and Sky Harbor.

In Tucson,TIA has flight arrivals that have been delayed over and hour and a half, and two canceled arrivals. At this time, only one departure has been canceled.

In Phoenix, Sky Harbor the number of delayed departures is just shy of 50 between 1:30p.m. and midnight. Eight departures have been canceled. As far as arrivals go, around 150 have been delayed between 11:30 a.m. and 2 a.m., and 12 have been canceled.

The storm is anticipated to move out of the region by Friday night, but, in the meantime, TIA and Sky Harbor will keep updating flight information.
