Tucson Fire Department Chief Jim Critchley announced he'll be retiring after nearly thirty years of service.
According to Captain Julian Herrera, a spokesperson for TFD, the announcement was made in an internal memo.
Herrera says Critchley told everyone that with he feels like he's ready to retire and focus on his family. In the memo Critchley said he's enjoyed every minute of his time with the department.
No word yet on the exact date of Critchley's retirement.
