One family has some closure Monday after their son was shot and killed on October 8th.

On Monday morning, 29-year-old Vashaun Baker was laid to rest at the Adair Funeral Home. He lost his life after he got into a fight with an 18-year-old during a pickup game of basketball. This was at a basketball court near Christ Church United Methodist at 655 N Craycroft.

The teenager left the basketball court to call his father. Police say the teen's father came to the court and shot Baker, killing him.
