TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A woman has pleaded guilty to child abuse in the 2016 death of her 20-month-old grandson who authorities say was found with broken ribs and blunt force body trauma.
Leticia Henderson became the last of six defendants to enter plea agreements in the case.
Henderson admitted to failing to get Adam Mada medical help and will be sentenced Jan. 13.
After the child died at a hospital, six of his family members were arrested and accused of murder.
Two of the boy's aunts and his grandfather pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of child abuse earlier this year.
Prosecutors say those three people and Henderson likely will get 2 ½ years jail terms, the same sentences the child's uncle and another aunt received in March.
