A Tucson 4th grader is showing how she is breaking barriers by winning an essay contest hosted by Major League Baseball.
Anna Howe won the Jackie Robinson Breaking Barriers essay contest by writing about her struggles with a disease that can make it painful to eat and swallow.
Anna, along with 9 other prize winners, will get a new laptop and other prizes like t-shirts and books for their classes.
Sharon Robinson, daughter of Hall of Fame player Jackie Robinson, also visited the students' classroom.
