SAN SIMON, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Interstate 10 has reopened near San Simon following a collision involving several vehicles caused by low visibility.
Carol Capas, spokesperson with the Cochise County Sheriff's Office, says deputies previously closed I-10 both east and westbound between milepost 352 and 378.
The closure was the result of zero visibility and at least three separate multiple vehicle accidents.
The first accident involved a truck pulling a trailer, according to Department of Public Safety Public Information Officer Kameron Lee.
Lee said the second accident involved seven vehicles including a DPS trooper vehicle.The trooper, who was not in his car was not injured.
A third accident was also reported. A San Simon Fire Truck was involved in one of the accidents.
