Tucson Police took part in an active shooter training exercise at the Tucson Mall on Thursday.
The video of this training exercise was sent to KGUN9 by Richard Jensen taken late last night after the mall closed.
A number of TPD officers from the Westside Division participated in the active shooter training.
TPD tells KGUN9 they organized last night's drill to make sure all officers become familiar with the layout of the mall in case of any potential threat.
Police say the training from last night translates to any other building and scenario and the goal remains to keep the public safe.
TPD says another drill is planned soon.
