TUCSON, Ariz. — A Tucson man just closed on a facility used to house the Titan II Missile during the Cold War.

Grant Hampton, the real estate agent managing the sale, said the property off Highway 79 north of Tucson went under contract for $420,000 -- $25,000 above the listing price -- just 10 days after it was listed. They closed the deal this week.

Tom Rossier is the man who purchased the property. He says he plans to build a home on top and turn the facility below into a "man cave." He's lived in Tucson for about 50 years and doesn't plan to move to the new site until he's closer to retirement.

At the peak of its listing, Hampton said he was getting about 40 calls a day from people all over the world with all kinds of plans for the property. Ultimately, he said the seller wouldn't entertain any offers to potential buyers who hadn't taken a look at the facility in person.
