ADOT, Pima County and the Town of Marana are all working on individual construction projects in an area where one has impacted travel near the others.

ADOT's Ina/I-10 interchange project is about two-thirds of the way complete and will open to traffic by February 2019. Access under I-10 along Ina has been closed while the contractor constructs several new bridges near the project.

Marana DOT has awarded work for milling and repaving Ina between Ulene Place & the CDO Bridge, just east of Thornydale. The contractor began working last Monday and work should be complete by close of business on Friday, November 2nd. Big east and west slowdowns along the roadway are most prevalent during afternoon rush-hour and on both Ina and along Thornydale approaching Ina.

Pima County DOT has two projects in various stages of completion: Cortaro Farms between Camino de Oeste & Thornydale between Cortaro Farms and Camino del Norte, just south of Tangerine. The project to widen and improve a section along Cortaro Farms started early 2017 and will be complete by  December 2018. The work on Thornydale includes widening the shoulders of the roadway and milling and repaving. The contractor responsible for this project will begin milling and paving starting next Monday, October 5th, and will complete the work by mid to late November.

All of these projects affect the other, given their close proximity. Orange Grove is a good east/west alternative route to Ina or Cortaro Farms to avoid the ongoing work. Shannon, LaCholla or LaCanada are alternates to the Thornydale restrictions.
