All the things we love about the fair are back in Pima County for the next week and a half.

The Pima County Fair opened its doors again on Thursday and it runs every day through April 24.

For those who love fair food, there are plenty of places to get a turkey leg, deep fried sweets, and much more. One new item you can find this year is deep fried nachos.

Entertainers are also a big draw. Tyzen the Hypnotist performs every day at the fair. He will bring audience members onto the stage, hypnotize them, and then get them to do crazy things.

"I'm actually hypnotizing people, putting them into a hypnotic trans, a state of suggestibility if you will, and making them do things that are not in their realm of comfortability (sic) I guess," said Tyzen.

Also on stage at the fair - a freak show. Some of what you there will make you cringe but we assure you it is all very reel. You will see people swallow swords, carry world record weight with their eye sockets, and much more.

"Maybe you've seen Ripley's Believe It or Not, Guinness World Records," said John Shaw, the man who organized the freak show at the fair. "You're going to see people setting world records and see world record performers live on stage. I brought with me two people, they're going to be setting world records every single day."

Shaw's show is known as The Original Synners Stunt Show Spectacular. His two guests are Kelvikta The Blade and Andrew S. from Swing Shift Side Show.

The fair will be open till April 24th. It is open Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to midnight. On weekends it is open from 10 a.m. General admission is $8, children between 6 and 10 are $4, kids under 5 are free. Parking is $5.
