TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Fire Department helped to hand out thousands of gifts to children as part of the 13th annual Miracle en el Barrio event.
The event is presented by Nova Home Loans and they started this tradition to provide children on the southside of Tucson with toys for Christmas.
Since it was created, it has turned into the largest toy donation event by a private business.
Miracle en el Barrio featured music, food, toys and a visit from Santa.
Over the past 13 years, more than 35,000 toys have been donated to local families in need.
Dozens of other local organizations also showed up and handed out food and gift certificates.
