TFD crews respond to mutual aid fire near south Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. - Tucson Fire Department crews responded to a mutual aid fire near south Tucson on Friday night.

South Tucson Fire was on scene at a single story near the 100 block of West 27th Street.

The residence was vacant upon crews arrival. STFD reported smoke and flames coming from inside the home.

TFD says crews aided in water supply, securing utilities, and ladder functions.

The fire burned the inside of the home.

Crews were able to control the fire within ten minutes of dispatch. No people or firefighters were injured.

South Tucson Fire will conduct an investigation.
