Tucson Electric Power is warning customers they could be targeted this Utility Scam Awareness Day.
TEP says more than 1,000 customers have reported scam calls this year.
Officials say scammers will call, text, email, and even send letters demanding money.
Joe Barrios with TEP says, "If you receive a suspicious phone call, or even if you receive a suspicious text message or letter, don't fall for it."
If they have any questions about their account you can contact TEP at (520) 623-7711.
