Teachers left with mixed feelings after walkout

Teachers are left with mixed feelings after the week-long walkout.

They are happy about the new budget plan that the Arizona Senate passed Thursday, which will result in raises, but they're disappointed that support staff was left out.

I feel like we showed that we can pull a lot of people together so I think it's a win for that.  I don't think we expected to win everything that we wanted but I think we're ready to go the long haul and I'm counting it as a win.  (Twila Busby, Teacher)

It makes me feel like we lost. It's not a win. It wasn't a waste of time but I feel like the kids lost the time, you know, their education. (Traci Lewis, Teaching Assistant)

It does not meet the demands we requested; I'm not confident about the funding source but it's a first step. (Margaret Wilch, Teacher)
