TDOT looking for community feedback on traffic safety and bicycle boulevard project

TUCSON, Ariz. — The City of Tucson Transportation Department is holding four neighborhood traffic safety and bicycle boulevard project meetings.

Bicycle Boulevard projects called Michigan/Fair, Cherry, Greenway, and Bantam Bicycle Boulevards are voter-approved Prop 407 Tucson Delivers Parks and Connections Program.

The program is to establish a low-stress biking and walking network to create calmer residential streets.

The first public event to give community feedback to the project team is Thursday.

If you are unable to attend the meeting there are three more scheduled.

Scheduled meetings:

  • Friday, September 27 – 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Community Conversation (101 W. Irvington Rd.)
  • Thursday, October 3 – 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. Community Input Session at Cherry Avenue Recreation Center (5085 S. Cherry Ave.)
  • Saturday, October 12 – 9 a.m. – Noon, Cups and Pups Pop-Up Café (5085 S. Cherry Ave.)
