Tucson High School Human Rights Club will protest plans for parking meters to go outside the Tucson HS football field.

Tucson HS students and community members will gather at the Tucson City Council meeting downtown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Students plan to speak at the city council meeting to discuss the installation of the parking meters.

One Tucson High student said It's unfair to charge students to park there, it's more than 70 percent of students qualify for free or reduced lunch.

Student Body President Sydney Benson said "It's really unfair to the students at tucson high, especially because we're 70% free and reduced lunch, and since students can't even afford to pay for lunch, how can they afford 8 dollars a day to just attend school."

The Human Rights Club is asking those who attend to wear red, the school's colors.
