Since 1996, Spirit Halloween has predicted the outcome of the presidential elections based on their top selling candidate mask.

A spokesperson says although it's the most frightening election yet, they are confident they will do it again this year.

"I think we are going to be pretty accurate," said Timothy Hopton, a Spirit Halloween representative.

Hopton said that 55 percent of people are buying Donald Trump outfits, costumes, and masks, while 45 percent are buying Hillary Clinton ones.

However, some may not be getting it for the right reasons.

A survey showed 16 percent of people who dress like Clinton will mock her and 32 percent say they will mock Trump. One in four people will dress up as their opposite party's candidate to scare people.

"Every time I come by and I see kids trying on the masks its always I am going to build that wall and whenever it is Hillary its usually something to do with emails," said Hopton.

Whether a person is supporting or mocking a candidate, Hopton says business this Halloween season is booming because of the candidate merchandise.

"This has gone through the roof," he explained. "We have had to restock on hats and the masks for each of the candidates."

Clinton is leading nationally by 22 points, according to the store's poll.
