Southern Arizona has most rabies cases this year

This year, there have been 51 lab confirmed rabies positive animals in Arizona according to the Arizona Department of Health Services.

Pima, Santa Cruz and Cochise counties account for 46 of those cases.

The majority of the cases have been bats and skunks. One horse, one fox, and one bobcat case have also been reported.
