TUCSON, Ariz. — Sierra Vista residents have the opportunity to find out what it's like to be a first responder.

It's all part of the city's "Citizen Fire Academy," which offers participants hands-on experience in emergeny services training. That includes firefighting; search and rescue; and safety practices that can be used at home or in the workplace.

Applicants have to be at least 16 years old.

If you want to participate, you can apply online or pick up an application at any Sierra Vista fire station.
