With rising temperatures HVAC companies have seen a spike in phone calls. As people rush to get their air conditioners fixed and ready for the summer.

James Hart, Owner of Hart service air conditioning and heating says business is booming now that the temperatures have sky rocketed.

"People are in panic mode," says Hart.

Many customers who have called for his assistance have the same issue, their air conditioning isn't working.

As temperatures rise over 100 degrees in Southern Arizona, Hart has been trying to get to each home as quick as possible.

"Especially for the elderly just to make sure there's no medical problems," says Hart.

Hart says the most common problems he sees is lack of maintenance and often times it can be fixed easily without picking your phone up.

Before you call a HVAC company check these easy fixes:

  • Change filters
  • Change batteries for thermostat

Hart suggests everyone get their units serviced on a regular basis to avoid the summer time rush.
