TUCSON, Ariz. — Pima County Sheriff's Department and the Rural Fire Department worked together to help a 26-year-old man who was injured while hiking the Tanque Verde Falls Trail with his cousin on Saturday.

Per PCSD, the man dislocated his shoulder while he was out on the trail and couldn't hike the rest of the trail's rough terrain, leading his cousin to call for help.

Rural Metro Fire says the injured hiker was airlifted to a landing zone, where he was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

hiker was in stable condition. Taken out of wilderness area by helicopter because of terrain and distance. Transported to hospital and released.
