The Red Cross is getting ready to hold a blood drive to make sure supplies for patients in need are available.
Starting Thursday, November 1, donors of all blood types are encouraged to take the opportunity to help stock the supply. The Red Cross is also encouraging the community to stay healthy, especially since flu season has officially begun.
The Red Cross says if you have received a flu shot, there is no waiting period before you can donate blood, just make sure you are symptom and fever free.
