PHOENIX — A drawing will determine the order of candidates on the Arizona Presidential Preference Election ballot.

“We are just three months away from the PPE, and we want to keep voters informed about what steps we are taking to prepare,” Secretary Katie Hobbs said. “We are excited to share this part of the election process with the public.”

The drawing is December 11 at 10 a.m., and it will be broadcast live on the Secretary of State's Facebook page.

This will only impact Democratic presidential candidates, as Republicans have decided to forgo the PPE this cycle.

That means that only voters registered with the Democratic Party will be eligible to vote in the 2020 PPE.

The deadline to register to vote in the PPE is February 18.

The ballot drawing is open to the public and will take place at the Historic House Chambers.
