TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Arizona Superior Court in Pima County's data systems experienced a malware attack by people who were attempting to seize court personnel data for the purpose of obtaining a ransom payment, according to the Office of the Court Administrator.

A program, called "ransomware," was downloaded into the Court's network by a court employee during the course of his/her work.

Access was not available for a few hours, but because of the courts technical team no data was lost or stolen.

The team is staying alert for the next few days to make sure there are no problems.
