The Pima County Board of Supervisors has approved more than $4.3 million in funding that will support community services in the county.
The funding includes more than $2.1 million for the Department of Community Development and Neighborhood Conservation's Outside Agency program, which targets underserved neighborhoods and populations through non-profits approved by Pima County.
Funding priorities for the 2017/2018 fiscal year include community services, emergency food and clothing, senior support, shelter and domestic violence services, and youth and family support.
Supervisors also approved more than $800,000 in outside agency funding for economic development and tourism.
