The Pima County Sheriff's Department is investigating a bank robbery on Tucson's Northwest Side.

According to the PCSD, Foothills Deputies responded to a call just before 6:00 p.m. about a robbery at the Compass Bank located inside an Albertson's at 5085 North La Canada Drive.

Deputies say the suspect walked up to the teller, placed a note on the counter and demanded money. The teller gave him the cash from the drawer, and the suspect left.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his early to late 20's, around 5'6'' with brown hair and no facial hair, wearing a white hat, a dark-hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

Law enforcement is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect, reminding people to call 88-CRIME or 9-1-1 with any information.
