TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson police said a pedestrian was hit by a car on Alvernon near Grant Saturday night.
The woman has serious injuries, according to Sgt. Pete Dugan. He said the woman was not in a crosswalk as she attempted to cross Alvernon.
Dugan said around 8:30p.m. that northbound Alvernon is expected to be closed for several hours as police investigate the accident. Southbound Alvernon will remain open to traffic during the investigation.
