PCSO arrests man involved in starting Roach Fire

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office arrested a man for his involvement in starting the Roach Fire.

According to PCSO, deputies were able to determine that the fire was human caused and that it may have started out as a controlled burn that got out of control.

PCSO has identified the man arrested as James Brumley. Investigators were able to locate him upon hearing witness statements.

Brumley was questioned, and he denied starting the fire.

He has been booked on reckless burning and five counts of criminal damage.

The Roach Fire began on July 7th. It burned 300 acres and destroyed a total of 14 structures.
