The Pima County Sheriff's Department is looking to hire deputies and corrections officers.
On Sunday dozens of applicants showed up to an open house to take mock tests to prepare them for the real exams.
The event is aimed to help applicants improve their failure rate and empower those who want a career in law enforcement.
"We want to give them knowledge so they are much better able to answer the questions in an oral board or negotiate the obstacles," Lt. Jeff Copfer of PCSD told KGUN9.
The department will host more hiring events in the coming months.
More information can be found on the department's website.
