The Pima County Sheriff's Department is providing an opportunity to properly dispose of any unused or expired prescription drugs.
According to PCSD, the service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
The following items are accepted:
- Prescription and over-the-counter pills, capsules, caplets, gel caps, medicated patches, and powders will be collected.
- Metal or glass inhalers, syringes, epi-pens, patches, creams, liquids, and diabetic test strips will not be accepted.
Any items that are turned over for collection cannot be returned. Drugs from commercial organizations will not be accepted.
The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at two Walgreens locations - 7115 East Tanque Verde Road and 2929 West Valencia Road.
