TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — Pima County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a deadly three-vehicle crash with injuries near the west side Monday.

Deputies responded to the area of Sandario Road just south of Snyder Hill Drive around 2:30 p.m. for a three-vehicle crash, PCSD says.

The investigation showed that a Toyota Pickup Truck was traveling northbound on Sandario, where the driver failed to slow down for a line of vehicles that were traveling behind vehicles painting the road, according to PCSD. The Toyota collided with the back of a Dodge Pickup, which ultimately collided into a Volkswagen Sedan.

PCSD say the driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead the scene.

The driver has been identified as 83-year-old Harrison Willar.

Roadways have reopened.

The investigation remains ongoing.
