Pima Animal Care Center is partnering up with the University of Arizona's College of Public health for a new graduate course on animal shelter programs and policies.
The program is called "One Health" and focuses on looking at health issues while considering human, animal, and environmental factors.
Graduate students will also study PACC initiatives and programs to gain a better understanding of how these programs operate and effectiveness when it comes to serving animals, people, and protecting overall public health.
This is one of few programs like this in the country.
