Pima Animal Care Center will be waiving adoption fees on all pets this weekend, as the shelter is caring for nearly 600 animals, and needs to make room for pets that ran away during July 4th fireworks.
Between the morning of July 4, and 4 p.m. on July 5, PACC took in 50 pets. PACC is currently caring for 597 pets, including 335 dogs and 262 cats.
PACC's "Meowt of Room" sale runs through Sunday, July 9. Adoptions are free for all pets located at the shelter and five participating PetSmart stores.
PACC's shelter is located at 4000 N. Silverbell Road.
The participating PetSmart stores are located at:
- PetSmart Oracle & Wetmore, 4374 N. Oracle Rd.
- PetSmart Grant & Swan, 4740 E. Grant Rd.
- PetSmart El Con Mall, 3695 E. Broadway Blvd.
- PetSmart Irvington & I-19, 1175 W. Irvington Rd.
- PetSmart River & Orange Grove, 3850 W. River Rd.
PACC will also waive redemption fees for owners whose pets became lost and ended up at the shelter. A standard $17 licensing fee applies for all adult dogs.
