Oro Valley group educates community on first manned lunar landing

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. — In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the first manned lunar landing an Oro Valley group is educating the community about the Apollo 11 mission.

A presentation given Tuesday at the Oro Valley Public Library by a local aerospace historian.

The president and CEO of "White Eagle Aerospace" talked about the significance of this accomplishment.

White Eagle Aerospace Terry White says "I think it's important for us to remember what is possible it was an incredible achievement, I lived through that time. It was said by many that it was impossible but in 8 and a half short years we were able to muster our forces and be able to do something that had never been done before."

Another presentation like today's will be given on Wednesday the 30th at the Joyner Green Valley Public Library.
