Staff at the Chiricahua National Monument are hosting its More than the Moon special event on Friday.
There will be several telescopes set up to focus on the night sky brought to the area by the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association.
Participants will also get to hear about the role of the night sky in local Native American cultures.
The sky exploration event will go from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Echo Canyon parking area.
