The Oro Valley Engineering Division and Oro Valley Police Department are installing 19 new signs around the Town to remind motorists of the new hands-free ordinance.
The location of the signs were carefully selected to maximize visibility and aesthetics.
Instillation of the signs will begin mid-July and are expected to be completed by the end of July.
The Town of Oro Valley adopted the "hands-free" ordinance on January 6, 2017. The ordinance restricts drivers from holding a mobile telephone or portable electronic device while operating a motor vehicle.
