New FAA report reveals Arizona drone incidents in 2018

TUCSON, Ariz. — A new report released by the Federal Aviation Administration reveals drone incidents recorded in Arizona last year.

The FAA receives more than 100 reports each month nationwide, according to its website.

Among the reported unmanned aircraft sightings (UAS), seven incidents were reported at the Tucson International Airport and one at Benson Municipal Airport.

The agency wants to remind the public that operating drones around airplanes, helicopters and airports is illegal. Operators who are caught will be subject to fines.
