Northwest Fire and the Pima County Sheriff's Department held a mock demonstration with Marana Unified School District students to teach them about the risks and dangers of impaired or distracted driving.

The event was held on the football field at Mountain View High School.

The mock demonstration simulated an emergency response event.

The goal was to make it as real as possible, so the demonstration incorporated a lot of activity and noise from the use of police cars, fire trucks, ambulances and a rescue helicopter.

Families were welcome and encouraged to attend the event, which provided a context for families to talk with their students about the dangers of impaired or distracted driving.
