Tucson police have identified the man killed in a motorcycle crash on Friday afternoon as 25-year-old Roger Gonzalez-McDaniel.
According to police, officers responded to a serious injury collision involving a motorcycle on Mission and San Juan Trail.
When officers arrived on the scene they found Gonzalez-McDaniel with obvious signs of trauma. He was immediately transported to Banner University Medical Center where he died as a result of his injuries.
Detectives responded and determined Gonzalez-McDaniel's motorcycle was southbound on Mission Rd. from W. Silverlake Rd. The driver of a sedan was on San Juan Trl. stopped for a stop sign and began to make a northbound turn onto Mission Rd. He collided with the front driver’s side fender area.
Gonzalez-McDaniel was wearing a helmet.
Detectives are still trying to determine if speed was a factor in this collision.
