The Mirador Fire burning 16 miles southwest of Arivaca is now 60% contained.
Despite another day of windy conditions, both ground and air crews made excellent progress with fire suppression efforts.
The Mirador Fire continues to burn through tall grasses and brush, three miles east of the town of Sasabe and E. of the Buenos Aires Wildlife Refuge.
The fire was reported Tuesday, May 16 by a US Border Patrol agent in the area. No evacuations have been ordered.
The fire is estimated at 250 acres.
