TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Today, four churches partnered together and hosted a meal packing event.
Volunteers from local Muslim and Jewish communities as well as a local Baptist church packaged 130,000 meals that will be distributed throughout Tucson to families in need.
Nancy Scott, the Director of Leadership at St. Paul's United Methodist church, said "This event is such a positive example of Tucson working together and helping others."
The event packed 80,000 more meals than last year.
The organizations receiving these meals are Gospel Rescue Mission, Salvation Army and Casa Maria.
